U Card required to access all libraries

A U Card is required for access to all University of Minnesota libraries beginning Jan. 20. To see this exhibit, please call 612-624-7469 upon your arrival at the north door of the Elmer L. Andersen Library to be let into the building. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Media Mike and the Center for International Education

The Center for International Education (THE CIE) has been shining a light on local non-profits, artists, and noteworthy Minnesotans since 1975. For the entire time, Mike Hazard — “Media Mike” — has been at the helm, artist-in-residence, and visionary maker of connections. The work of THE CIE has come to an end, and the board has donated its archives to the University of Minnesota Libraries. This exhibit honors the work of THE CIE, the organizations and people it celebrated, and the artist who made it all happen.

The exhibit is presented by UMN Libraries’ Special Collections and Rare Books, with exhibit design by Darren Terpstra.
